The selling dealer acquired this one-year-only TR250 in November 2022 and reports the prior owner refurbished the car in 2012. Sought-after factory equipment includes the 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Modifications include 15-inch Panasport racing wheels, auxiliary oil cooler, a quad-tipped exhaust, upgraded air-cleaners, a billet aluminum battery hold-down, and chrome-plated alternator. Included items consist of a BMIHT certificate, factory window sticker, the owner’s manuals, three keys, a tool kit, jack, and spare tire.

The one-year-only 1968 Triumph TR250 marries the softer bodywork of the outgoing TR4 with the burly 2.5L inline-six-cylinder engine of the soon-to-be-released TR6. Output was a modest 104 horsepower but thanks to a svelte curb-weight of just 2,270 pounds performance was still good by contemporary standards. Rack-and-pinion steering is paired with a fully independent suspension chassis to create lively handling while listening to the baritone soundtrack of the six-cylinder engine. It is believed that 8,484 TR250’s were imported to the US during the model’s short 15-month production-run.
